Grandpa Clark and Tordie

Tucker was So exited to see Grandpa Clark, I think Kimber was too, but she's hard to read.

Torie and Kimber (yup, somewhere in that ball of blankets is a little girl.)

Tucker really enjoyed playing with Aunt Torie... he called her "Tordie."

Grandpa Demonstrating his roping technique. Tucker was so exited to be roped, he would hide in the bucking shoots and say "outside," then come bucking out of the shoot to be roped. Tucker would run right back to the shoot for another go before Grandpa could recoil the rope, so when Tucker would say "outside" Grandpa was unprepared. Tucker would run and then tell Grandpa he had "missed."

Tucker practicing his roping technique. He still needs a little work at it, his technique involved throwing the rope down and waiting patiently for the unsuspecting prey to walk into the loop.

Sorry about the blur. Video on my camera doesn't focus well

Grandpa brought with him a BIG red barn, which now lives in the living room. Tucker loves playing with the barn and showing it off to his friends. So far both Dresden and Max have been quite impressed with barn. Tucker plays with the barn everyday, and as far as I can tell... all of the animals sleep in stalls and Tucker sleeps in the loft... my job is to shut the lid.

Kaylie sent up our green baby chair with Dave. Not sure what it is called but it helps babies learn to sit by themselves I guess. Anyway, Tucker immediately started calling is a saddle, and if you look it even has a saddle horn! Tucker insisted Torie help saddle his horse. Good thing Torie was there because I have no idea how to saddle a horse. Note the saddle blanket, saddle, breast collar and the other strap that goes around the middle. Thanks Tordie.

We are really looking forward to coming down for Christmas!!!

Pictures of Kimber at Gritman

The nurses at Gritman always take pictures of the babies to post to the Gritman website, they also give a CD of the pictures they take to the parents. They were nice enough to take lots of pictures of Kimber for me. She is a beautiful little girl.

Tucker and Kimber

Tucker loves being a big brother and taking care of Kimber
Tucker is so good to Kimber.

The only thing cuter that a sleeping child is two sleeping children. Tucker and Kimber fell asleep on the couch together shortly after Grandma Val left.

Grandma Val

Grandma Val came up to visit us this past week. It was really nice to have her here to help with Tucker and keep me company while Dusty finished up this week of school. I really appreciated the yummy meals she made for us, particularly the Wackadoo Chicken (partially because it was really good and partially because I really like the name!) Tucker really enjoyed playing with "Bam Val" and I can see why... she knows just how to play with and entertain a: "farmer, cowboy, wrestler and relentlessly active little boy." - just a guess but I think she may have had some practice previously. Thanks for coming to see us "Bam Val" come anytime.

Kimber

Kimber Clark born on Wednesday November 18 2009 at 4:12 p.m.
Weight 6 pounds 4 ounces. Length 18.5 inches

I may be biased, but I think she is a pretty little girl.

Dusty, proud to have a little daughter.

Tucker at the hospital

Tucker wasn't sure what to think of the baby at first, but I think he has potential to be a good big brother.

Tucker showing off for some student nurses... he really kept their attention. And of course they asked, like everyone always does, "Does he always have this much energy?"---YES

Tucker using the remote control as a phone, the student nurses thought that was cute.

Tucker found ways to entertain himself while in the hospital, finding places to hide was one of his favorites.

Elk

Last week Tucker was watching animals on You Tube and he saw some elk bugling. Since then he has adapted his bugling technique to include the pipe from the vacuum. Don't worry Grandpa Orr... a few more years and he'll have perfected the technique and will be ready to go hunting.

First Snow

Last evening we got our first snow. I'm not sure when the snow started because I was at work, but it was early enough that Tucker got to play in the snow before bed last night. Dusty took this video of Tucker working hard to clear off the deck. This morning the snow is still on the ground. Around 7:00 a.m Tucker woke up and immediately wanted to go out in the snow, so we got all bundled up and Dusty played with him outside. Tucker is really excited about the snow so I'm sure we will have many more snow adventures.

BBQ ribs

I made dinner tonight hoping one of Dusty's vet buddies might come over for dinner because I don't really like Ribs and we have several packages to use up. (I found this website www.allrecipes.com and I've been cooking up all sorts of new recipes lately.)But alas the bar and a the football game are too much of a lure. So we have a ton of leftover ribs. Dusty says I should hold off and make some when Torie comes up... I think that's a good idea.

I just couldn't help myself... Tucker looked like such a little man while eating his pork ribs. I just had to take pictures.

Tucker can really clean the meat off those bones.

Tucker is a little tired of me taking pictures of him I think. After this picture he looked at me and said "NO PICTURES!" I was, however, allowed to take pictures of Dusty.

The men in my life.. even covered in BBQ sauce they are good looking boys. I sure love my family.

Crime and Punishment

ORDER ORDER ORDER IN THE COURT!
Today Tucker and I have been cleaning the house. So this morning we spent cleaning and a little while ago I decided to take a break to go get dressed. I should have known! Take my eyes of that little boy long enough to put some make-up on and he'll find something to get into. Thus, the following photos depict the mess. From my bathroom I could see Tucker laying on the kitchen floor and I came over to investigate... this is what I found.

This is not a first time offense, however the age of the defendant and the lesser severity of the crime... as no one was injured, will be taken into account in this case.
The juvenile (toddler) has pled guilty of the crime and acknowledge the crime was "Naughty" which I am certain the mother court will take into account in deciding an appropriate sentence.
It has been decided that the guilty will spend one minute (ok maybe less... just because I can't be mad at that face) in time out for the crime as well as follow up with rehab for the obvious chocolate milk addiction.
This case is closed. However... If this child is seen beware! This kid can make a mess out of anything!
The following footage is the proceedings of the court:

Dusty's Birthday

Tucker and I went to the library today for reading time. We sat by Max C. and the two boys laughed and giggled the whole time. They get really excited when they get together. I also had a doctor's appointment today, which Dusty showed up for... it was nice to see him in the middle of the day (that's a rare occurrence). I think Dusty is getting a little stir crazy about the baby, he keeps asking how much longer I think it's going to take, he gets a little disappointed when I tell him I have no idea. After the appointment we went to lunch for Dusty's birthday... of course I don't know if that counts because it was really Dusty taking me out to lunch instead of the other way around.
After lunch, Tucker and I ventured over to Moscow to go grocery shopping. We bought a ton of stuff. I am hoping that that will be the last major shopping trip until after the baby is born because at this point shopping is a MAJOR project... one I usually have to spend days psyching myself up for. And really the only reason we went today was because I put Tucker's last diaper on this morning... we really didn't have a choice but to go shopping.
I have spent the past few weeks trying to think of a good birthday present for Dusty. He is really hard to shop for. But as of today I hadn't come up with anything... the best thing I could think of was a nice home cooked meal. So for dinner I made chicken fried steak, and bought some grape juice to go with it. Dusty said the meal was "excellent," however, at this point I'm not sure I can trust him. With as emotional as I can get, I'm pretty sure he'd say anything to keep me from tears. But I appreciated the complement anyway.
I am hoping maybe Saturday we will be able to do something a little bit more special for his birthday.

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home

Tucker has a lot of energy. I get comments from people all the time on how active Tucker is. At this point in pregnancy he is getting to be just a little too much for me to handle at times. So I am so glad when Dusty gets home and can help Tucker release some of his pent up energy. Dusty must be in to self abuse because the bigger Tucker gets the rougher he plays. Tucker loves it when daddy gets home to play with him and I know that Dusty loves to see Tucker so happy to see him. I love my family, even if our house feels like a rodeo, the zoo or Monday Night Wrestling Live sometimes.

Hair Cut for Tucker

Tucker got a hair cut today, so he looks nice and handsome. I'm hoping that I wont have to cut his hair again until the end of December. Dusty still needs a hair cut before the baby comes, he looks a little shaggy. I'm not sure if Tucker is excited about having a baby in the house or not. Tucker knows that the baby is in mom's tummy and if you ask him why the baby is in mom's tummy he will tell you it is because the baby is scared.... scared of bulls.
Dusty is studying hard as always. He had a test the other day and I guess the entire class did poorly, at least that is what the professor implied. So he is off studying again for the 2 or 3 more exams he has before Thanksgiving.
I am doing OK. Last week was really hard, I worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I now have the next seven days off to recover and try to get caught up on some housework and shopping.
Tucker's hair cut. I think he looks pretty handsome.

Tucker's vocabulary has been expanding. I tried to get him to talk for the camera but he wasn't so willing. We have also been telling Tucker that Grandma's and Grandpa's are going to come visit him... and he is really excited about that so he talks about that a lot. Sometimes I wish that Tucker didn't have such a wide vocabulary... because he talks all of the time. However, I know that there will come a day when I will miss all of his toddler words and the way he is SO expressive about even the smallest of things. He drives me absolutely crazy and makes my heart overflow with happiness at the same time.
