Vet Med Halloween Carnival

The whole family in the same picture! It's a rare occurrence. Dusty dressed as Scott Anderson (one of his vet student buddies that is in the military), Tucker as a Puma and I am dressed as a 50's nurse.
Notice the small orange balloon Tucker is holding. Tucker was very concerned that this baby balloon had lost it's mommy and shortly found a larger orange balloon to look after the the baby balloon. He is such a duck sometimes.
Tucker won a prize at the bean bag toss game... he had lot's of fun with the bean bag toss... never actually got it through the whole but he laughed the whole time.
Tucker and Dad making there best ferocious puma faces.

This game was Tucker's favorite. The girls hid candy in the shredded paper and Tucker had to wade through the paper to find it. We spent a lot of time at this game.

Tucker roaring with green vampire teeth in his mouth... he thought that was nifty.

Sunday, October 25

We skipped out on stake conference early today.
Tucker woke up last night crying, Dusty went in to try to calm him down and Tucker threw up. Since the sheets were in need of washing Tucker slept in the crib in our room for the rest of the night (he protested at first because the crib is for the "baby"). This morning, though, Tucker was acting just fine so we went to church. Tucker was so good during the meeting, he mostly just sat on our laps and cuddled. Which if anyone has sat through sacrament with Tucker you can see how unusual that would be. About 3/4 of the way through the meeting Tucker suddenly through up again... so we decided we had better just go home. He doesn't have a fever and he's acting normal now, so I don't know what to think. I sure love that little boy and it makes me sad when he doesn't feel well. I hope it was just a little unsettled stomach and that he's not getting sick... I guess we will have to wait and see.

Outing to Colfax

We went to Colfax on a family outing today.
Tucker has been very dilegent about keeping all of his animals fed lately, so this morning Dusty made bales of hay for Tucker to feed to them. Shortly after making the bales Dusty relized that feeding all the animals by hand was very inefficient...thus our outing to Colfax. We first stopped at the John Deere dealership to get Tucker a loader to feed the bales of hay. Tucker is very proud of his new Tractor. After stopping at the dealership we stopped to get donuts, chocolate milk and a pumpkin on the way home. We will wait until tonight or tomorrow to carve  our pumpkin. For now we are enjoying the day relaxing as a family... except tucker who is still busy feeding animals... again.

Tucker's one man Rodeo

Tucker loves to play with his stick horse. He loves bull riding and frequently puts on rodeos for us in the front room. He used to say "outside" when he would get out of the shoot but after watching '8 Seconds' he now says "OK boys" and at the end of his ride puts his arms in the air like Lane Frost in the movie. I think he may have watched the show a few too many times...but it sure is cute.

Ship to Grandma

The other day Tucker was brushing his teeth in the bathroom...he put the plug in the sink and water overflowed onto the floor and into the ventilation system. Dusty had to run out and get a shop-vac to vaccum out the ventilation. While Dusty worked on clearing out the water Tucker was busy emptying a roll of toilet paper into the tank of the toilet. After the fiasco Tucker decided to play in the box for the shop-vac and I just could help but think to myself how nice it would be to ship him off some where for a while so I could regain my sanity.
Tucker is in the box. Notice we didn't put a return address on the ship to Grandma box.
Tucker thought the box was great...except if was a little dark so he found himself a little flashlight.
Tucker also thought that mom should go in the box with him...I didn't fit. The best and worst part about being a mom is how frustrated and happy I can be at the same time. Completely flustered by everything that happened during the course of the day I still could resist a smile when Tucker noticed I was mad and gave me a big hug and said "Mom Mad. Hug?"

Latah County Fair. September

Latah County Fair in September
Tucker and I went to find some animals at the fair. There wasn't a petting zoo but Tucker still had fun looking at all of the animals.
Tucker got to go on his first fair ride. He was a little too short for the ride but the operator said that with the height of the balloon Tucker was holding that Tucker was tall enough so we got to go on the fairriswheel.
Tucker looking out at the fair from up high. He was a little nervous at first.

Before leaving the fair Tucker and I got nice and sticky eating cotton candy. We had a really good day together and Tucker fell asleep on the way home. So when we got home we both got to take a nap.
