Christmas was much more exiting this year with Tucker understanding some about Santa. Dusty and I were up early with Kimber. After we got Kimber showered and decongested Dusty was ready to get Christmas started. He was so anxious, he asked me every 15-30 minutes for and hour and a half if he could go wake up Tucker. Tucker was a little sick and had been for a few days prior so he was a little grumpy... but all of that disappeared when he saw the stockings.
After opening his own stocking it occurred to Tucker that there were more stockings, we had to hold him back from opening everyone's stockings. He was Ok with that when we let him start opening presents. When Grandpa was up to visit us he noticed that Tucker was alway trying to make gates for his cows, so Grandpa made Tucker a gate for Christmas (a big hit).
Owen came over to open presents too. Tucker showed Owen how to use the gate... Owen also got a gate.
Kimber slept through Christmas morning but Tucker kindly opened her presents for her. After spending Christmas morning with Grandpa we traveled south for lunch.
Lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Raybould's was delicious. Tucker started to not feel well again so we spiked his juice with Tylenol and just as before... the minute Tucker saw presents under the tree he was feeling fine.
Grandma and Grandpa Raybould gave Tucker a Tractor for Christmas, BamBal (Grandma Val) got Tucker a hay wagon for the Tractor Tucker already had as well as some cows to add to his cattle operation. Dusty sent Tucker over to ask Grandpa Raybould if he could borrow a Tractor.
Tucker took a break from opening present to make sure all of the Cows were fed. After feeding all of the cows he was back to open presents.
Tucker noticed Kimber was having a difficult time opening presents so he came over to help me and "Kimer"... what a thoughtful brother.
After Lunch we headed South again to spend Christmas Evening with Grandma and Grandpa Orr. By this time Tucker really had the opening present thing down. We had to keep him from opening everyone's presents. So he would bring a present to Grandpa Orr, Grandpa would read the name and Tucker would deliver the present to the appropriate person. After setting a present on a lap he would THEN proceed to "HELP" open the present.
Tucker has a train set at home that he got last year from Grandpa Orr. This hear he added to his train and track collection. Tucker was exited; I was exited too because that means I can design more creative tracks for him.
Kara took up post as the official Kimber holder. This was the first time Kara got to see Kimber (since she has been going to school in Hawaii). Every time Grandma Orr would take Kimber to hold her for a minute Kara would stand by "hovering" until Grandma gave her back. (she loves being an aunt)
Tucker played with his train set until it was time for bed. Actually it was past bedtime because by the time we finally looked at a clock it was 11:30 p.m. We had to pry him away from his toys to put him to bed. Before going to bed Tucker asked if Santa was coming "morrow?" he was a little disappointed when I said no. I think he had a good Christmas... and Dusty and I had fun just watching.
