Swimming

We decided we needed a family outing yesterday. So we decided to go swimming. Tucker LOVES "wimming." We made it just in time for tube time. I love going to this pool. One end of the pool is only 16 inches deep, which is really nice for little kids. Kimber got to go swimming too. She looked so cute in her little swim-suit (thanks Grandma Orr)

Tucker in the shallow end bring "noodles" to everyone

Mom and Kimber
Kimber looking pretty in her new swimming suit. I don't think Kimber fully appreciated the swimming adventure since she pretty much gets the same affect in the bath-tub.

Kimber was the youngest kid there.... she is 4 1/2 months. People kept telling me what a cute little girl I have.... yup I know.

Dusty and the Kids.... looks like he's got his hands full

Tube time in the big pool
Dusty is such a good Dad. I think he remembers what it was like to be a kid better than I do because he knows just how to make sure Tucker has fun.

After Tucker figured out how to utilize the life vest he insisted on swimming "his-self" Dusty was allowed to be close by but not to touch. Tucker was so proud of himself. He would start out in the shallow end, swim to the deep end, get out at the "squeeze chute"(the latter at the end), walk down to the shallow end and start over. We were really hoping he would wear himself out and go to bed early.... nope.

ABCs

Tucker LOVES this song. He gets most of the letters right (he leaves a few out though)

I love my kids!

Tucker loves to Dance (sorry I only caught 2 seconds before my camera died so this is all you get- Tucker wouldn't dance for the camera again)

Kimber loves her Daddy

O wait... I think there's and elk in that stall.

Mini-golf

Between Pullman and Moscow on one of the back roads is a min-golf course that I found by accident a couple of months ago when I got lost while driving home from Moscow. So while Grandma Val and Torie were up we decided to check it out. It seemed like a really nice day... but after you were out in the wind of a little while it started to feel a bit chilly. We still had fun though. Tucker was really amused with the game at first but after a while he began to be more amused with the course more so than the game itself- There were "mountains", waterfalls and bridges (so much for a two year old to take in).

Dusty helping Tucker.

"Tucker do it his-self"
After Tucker would make it in... he would then feel the need to help us get our ball in the hole... so he would just pick them up and plop them in. Thanks Tucker... what a helper.
The rest of us golfing while Tucker is off climbing a mountain. Good thing we were the only ones there.

Tucker found a practice green with lots of holes.... after playing for a while he looked down the hill and saw a pile of golf balls at least 2 feet high and took off. Dusty and to go call him back. Like I said.... It's a good thing we were the only ones there. I had lots of fun and I think Tucker did too. We will have to go back when it's a little warmer.

After touring the Vet school, Bambal, Torie, Dusty and Tucker all went up to the book store. Kimber and I stayed in the pick-up. Kimber didn't get many close up pictures while in the vet school (she was asleep in her carseat) so I decided she needed some pictures taken. She is such a cute little button.

BamBal brought Kimber a new blanket. Torie helped tie the quilt. It's the cutes baby blanket I've ever seen. Pink, yellow, green and......John Deer! Note the John Deer symbol in the picture below.

BamBal and Tordie and School

Grandma Val and Aunt Torie came to visit March 16-19th. We went to see the vet school because BamBal had not yet had a tour of the facility. Tucker LOVES going to daddy's school so he didn't mind another visit

Looking at the horses in the Vet hospital. Tucker kept on trying to feed one horse by picking up hay off of the floor and sticking it back through the fence. Such a worker.

The best room in the hospital has a bunch of saw dust and a skid-steer in it. The room smells so nice... Tucker likes this room for other reasons though-he gets to climb in the "ractor"

Daddy and Tucker looking at the horses. This is the horse Tucker kept feeding.

The back side of the vet school. It is a pretty massive building. And this is just one of the buildings.

Grandma and Grandpa Orr

Grandma and Grandpa Orr came to visit March 11-13th. I think Grandma needed her fix of grandchildren. I was so glad they came to visit. Dusty was gone for the weekend for a symposium in Wisconsin... and I don't do well when I am home alone by myself. ( I am a big chicken)

Tucker was running around crazy but we did snag him for a minute.

Hope you are enjoying Costa Rica Grandma and Grandpa.

At the park with Dresden

We went to the park last week with Dresden. We actually were there about 5 p.m. but the weather was so nice... a little chilly but nice. Tucker loves to play with Dresden, if ever Tucker is outside and he disappears I go over to the neighbors and can usually find him waiting at their door.

"Look at me bobby! Take picture"

Tucker showing Dresden how to scale the bike rack

Watch how as Tucker gets the seesaw really rocking Dresden starts to fall off the back... Tucker gets a little too crazy for Dresden sometimes. Dresden is a little less than two years old.

Tucker described this toy as the "saddle horse" the seat really did look like a saddle

Kimber had SO much fun! She slept for most of the adventure.

Cowboy

The things Tucker comes up with always amaze me. Tucker found a single spur around the house that Dusty has held on too. Tucker immediately went to find his boots to put the spur on. After trying for a while he finally asked Daddy to do it. Here is Tucker modeling his single spur... he really thought he was something else.

After playing with the stick horse for a while Tucker went and found the rocking horse.... he found that this horse was #1 a lot more "bronky" and #2 a lot easier to "rake"( at least I think that's what it's called)

More amazing Tucker stories:

* Tucker went and found his combine ("Bino") and went back and forth on the living room floor telling us he was cutting the "grass." Then he went and got his tractor and the trailer with sides and proceeded to go back and forth across the same bath the "Bino" had gone... every few feet he would put a hay bale in the trailer and push it out the back. After this step our living room floor had numerous rows of bales. THEN he grabbed his tractor with the flatbed trailer and went around and loaded the bales onto it with his skid-steer... he then drove his tractor back to the barn and proceeded to feed the cows. Through the whole process he explained the steps: #1 Cut grass #2 Make bales #3 Load bales #4 feed cows.

*Dusty missed this one. Today Tucker went to the silverware drawer and got a fork and a butter knife. He disappeared behind the barn for a minute and reemerged with two horses. He carried the horses to the middle of the living room floor and laid the first one down on its side. He dug at the horses hoof with the fork and then proclaimed "GOT IT" he then got the butter knife and started digging at the hoof and told me he was "getting eau out". Then "get nails" and he started to beat on the hoof with the butter knife. Then he stated "all better" allowed that horse to get up and then laid the next horse on his side and started the same process on this horse. I called Dusty to tell him about it and he asked if I had video taped it. You know what! the video camera was on the counter and it never crossed my mind to grab it.... I was so involved in what he was doing.

Owen and Tucker on Campus

Grandpa, Caron, Julie, Owen and Ed came to visit us. It was good to have company. While they were up Julie had a list of three things she wanted to do. #1 See the bears, #2 see the vet school and #3 see Moscow. I didn't take any pictures of Moscow because frankly.... it's not that exciting. But here are some pictures of our adventures on the Vet Med campus.

Looking at the bears. They are a lot more exiting in the spring and summer when they are our wandering around and taking baths.

Looking at the big horn sheep across the road from the bears.

In the anatomy building. This cow is Tucker's favorite of all the "specimens". Here tucker is telling Owen about the cow.

Another look at Tuckers favorite specimen.

The boys weren't quite as interested in this room, all it had was bones... but they found things to do.

At the old Vet hospital where the anatomy lab is now located they do studies. This is one such study.... I'm not exatly sure what they are studying, but I really don't care... I think it's just fun to watch a horse run on a tredmill.

Owen and Julie watching the horse running.

Tucker was watching the horse run, I asked him to turn around and smile and this is what I got.

In the Vet hospital on the scales trying to see if Tucker or Owen weighs more.

Owen on the scale.
And the verdict is: THEY WEIGH THE SAME!
There was a Llama and her new little baby in the vet hospital that we got to see.
